Plot: The nineteenth century - Great Brittain - Lawrence Talbot is searching for his missed brother in little town of Blackmoor. There are happening mysterous bloody killings by an unknown person or creature (?) With help of the Gwen, who was engaged to his brother he is looking for hints. Sir John Talbot, Lawrences father, who has become estranged with his son lifes in a nearby castle and shows some strange behaviour. People in town talk about a ferocious beast as they try to explain the murderings. Inspector Abberline arrives in Blackmoor as well and is going to investigate the crime.
The remake of classic Wolfman is enhanced by lovely pictures of Victorian times. Sadly that may be the only strength of this film. The story develops like everyone would have guessed and the actors are estimated to do better - not because they would'nt be able to. Characters always seem like You wanted them, performing typical for the kind of movies like "From hell" or "Sleepy Hollow". Wolfman does not reach this brilliance.
Gomtuu Opinion: Wolfman is a beautyful visual and accoustic experience, but shows a quite poor content, even while it's a remake. Hopkins and fellow actors would need more challenge like that.
