Plot:In American Midwest town Ogden Marsh people lead a peaceful nice life. Starting with usually harmless Rory who carries a shotgun while entering a Baseball pitch the inhabitans slowly turn into unexplainable rage. Sheriff Dutton and Deputy Russell try to investigate what is happening, but as soon as the federal guard arrives, they realize that this is way above there competence. There is only one option now : Surviving.
After You got known the town and its inhabitans, the Remake of 1973 classic horror movie The Crazies develops to a pure Survival thriller. It is thoroughgoing hard and rapid, even if some shocking effects may be well-known and little thrilling. Timothy Olyphant ("Hitman") and Radha Mitchell ("Silent Hill") fit good in this setting. They are followed by odd enraged backwoodsmen. So why are there "only" 3 of 6 Gomtuu points? That's because of a known, almost predictable horror-movie-structure without really new ideas.
Gomtuu Opinion: Classic straight Survival-Horror with very little surprises but a wonderful Redneck-Hillbilly-Szenario within swamps and fields.
